EVERYONE NEEDS COMMUNITY
but people with intellectual disabilities are often marginalized and excluded.
For the last 59 years, L’Arche has been making a meaningful impact by confronting and reversing exclusion, creating more than 150 inclusive communities in 38 countries, where over 10,000 people with and without intellectual disabilities share life together in meaningful, mutual relationships.
With the wisdom, experience and support of L’Arche USA, L’Arche Internationale, a highly-qualified Board of Directors, our newly hired Community Leader, a committed core of volunteers and a budding community… we are excited to be launching L’Arche Northern Colorado!
WELCOME. CONNECT. BELONG.
We WELCOME by valuing every person and celebrating their gifts
We CONNECT every person to resources and relationships that meet their needs.

HOW WE DEFINE
SUCCESS.
When we are successful, the voices of people with intellectual disabilities in Northern Colorado will be heard and their choices will be respected. They will be treated with dignity and appreciated for what they bring to the world around them. Their needs will be cared about and cared for. Within our new L’Arche NOCO community, they enjoy meaningful relationships and the opportunity to belong… just as they are. This is how we define success.
If we do not succeed, the lives of people with intellectual disabilities who don’t find a community like ours will continue just as they are. Those without supportive relationships will continue to feel devalued, vulnerable and lonely. They will be at higher risk of neglect or abuse and will continue to struggle against rejection and isolation.
